The Department of Public Works, in collaboration with Moses Kotane Local Municipality, is pleased to provide the following progress update on the Kwa Maritane–Mogwase Road construction project.
We are pleased to announce that asphalt placement and compaction have been successfully completed. The project has now entered its final preparation phase ahead of the reopening of the road.
Progress Update
• Asphalt placement and compaction completed.
• Road sign setup and inspection are underway.Road markings are being completed today.Final cleaning of the road surface and shoulders is in progress.
• Final or outstanding works on the culvert barrel invert will continue after the road has been reopened.
