MKLM Councillors equipped with Computer Skills

Moses Kotane Local Municipality through the Corporate Services Directorate capacitated the current council with computer Skills that will be needed to efficiently execute their duties.

The four days Computer training facilitated by the internal Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Unit

 began Tuesday on the 23rd August and ended on the 26 August 2022.

Acting Director Corporate: Mr Rapula Radiokana in his welcome address mentioned that there is currently transformation taking place worldwide from traditional way of doing things to a digitalised manner. As the Municipality we are acknowledging the fourth industrial revolution that is been slowly introduced in public institutions. Computer Skills are important so that we can also use them to reduce use of papers to paperless which is bigger vision towards green economy.

ICT Head of Unit Mr. Wageng Mokgosi stated that he was impressed by the level of commitment demonstrated by councillors throughout the computer training as well as eager to learn.

The workshop included:

-Know Your Computer,

– Computer Based Operating Systems

– Microsoft Word, spread sheet, PowerPoint, use of internet, Computer Communication
