Indeed it cannot be denied that having Social Development on board have assisted the municipality with regard to ensuring local orphanage homes, Old age home or hospices should also be remembered during this time.
On this day, Saturday the 25th April 2020, The Municipality together with Sun International decided to visit and spend time with people housed at various social care facilities.
The Portfolio Head of Corporate Services Clr Thapelo Thoboke Whom temporarily provide oversight for both Social Development & Sassa, was accompanied by Director Kotsedi as well as Sun International officials and distributed 12 food parcels to various social care facilities/ NPO/ NGOs.
Amongst the social housing care facilities that received food are : Tsoga Re Thuse,
Ledig feeding scheme and awareness,
ST Catherine Hospice,
Botshabelo crisis Centre,
Re A Baitumelela, Sepharama and Dimakatso Safe House.
