Moses Kotane Local Municipality held the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) public participation meeting for the 2027/2028 financial year at Obakeng Community Hall on Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
The meeting covered Cluster 5, comprising Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 18, 19, 20 and 21. It provided community members with an opportunity to identify and raise their development needs and priorities to inform the municipality’s planning process.
The Portfolio Head for Planning and Development, Cllr Dithothi Tshetlhane, explained the purpose of the meeting, emphasising that the process focuses on conducting a needs analysis across the different wards and giving community members an opportunity to highlight the development priorities they want addressed in their respective areas.
Ward councillors presented their needs analyses, outlining the priorities identified in their wards. Councillors and municipal officials also responded to questions raised by community.
