The Mayor of Moses Kotane Local Municipality Cllr Nketu Nkotswe joined the Amahlubi in celebrating Isikhumbuzo SaMaHlubi at Khayakhulu on 26 September 2026, as part of efforts to honour and preserve the cultural heritage and history of the community.She joined traditional leaders, community members and other stakeholders during the celebration, which brought people together to honour Amahlubi culture, traditions and identity.
The celebration featured various cultural activities, including traditional music, dance and other forms of cultural expression, providing an opportunity for the community to celebrate its heritage and pass traditions and stories from one generation to the next.
