On 16 March 2026, the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) of Moses Kotane Local Municipality conducted oversight visits to several key infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing service delivery across local communities.
The oversight programme commenced at the 3km Kraalhoek Internal Road Rehabilitation Project. In addition to improving road infrastructure, the project has contributed to local economic development by creating employment opportunities for community members.
The MPAC team proceeded to the Maeraneng Water Supply Project, an initiative designed to improve access to reliable water services for residents. This project forms part of the municipality’s broader strategy to ensure sustainable water provision.
The final visit was to, Mogwase Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly enhance effective sanitation services and support improved environmental management within the area.
These oversight visits form part of MPAC’s ongoing commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and the efficient use of municipal resources in delivering essential services to communities.
