Moses Kotane Local Municipality has officially welcomed two newly elected, sworn in Proportional Representation (PR) councillors from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Cllr Matshidiso Johanna Phiri and Cllr Boitumelo Maria Dingaan.
The two councillors were sworn in at the Moses Kotane Sub-Region Court in Mogwase, where Magistrate MJ Matebesi administered the oath of office. This marks the beginning of their new official roles as members of the Municipal Council.
During the oath-taking ceremony, both councillors committed themselves to serving the community with honesty and dedication. They pledged to carry out their duties to the best of their ability as required by the oath of office.
Cllr Matshidiso Johanna Phiri takes over the position previously held by Cllr Lebogang Moroka, while Cllr Boitumelo Maria Dingaan replaces Cllr Sethibedi Joel Sikoane.
