Moses Kotane local municipality in Partnership with Bojanala Platinum District Municipality and Department of Land Reform & Rural Development hosts Public Consultation for Spatial Development Framework
The objective was to engage on a public consultation on the Spatial Development Framework (SDF), the district’s land use management strategy, spatial planning, and potential major developments. Moreover, to support sustainable development complying with the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act (SPLUMA) Act 16 of 2013.
During the public consultation the following were highlights:
– Policy framework and compliance with SPLUMA.
– Economic base and planning implications to be in place.
– Strategic advantages and opportunities for future investment and development.
In attendance were :
– Mr. Malakia Dire, Mr Victor Mmope, Ms Bafedile Moselane, Mr Kea Mmope, Mr Stephan Piek, Ms Khumo Noge, Ms Yvonne Rampa, Mr Thapelo Mmutlaneng from MKLM.
– Mr. Pogiso Kolele, Town Planner from District Support.
– Mr Phumudzo Mulaudizi, Senior Professional Town Planner from Global Solutions Development.
The public consultation provided a platform for community members to engage with the SDF and provide feedback. Mr. Mulaudzi encouraged community members to Moses Kotane Local Municipality planning & development or the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality within 16 days to discuss and comment on the Spatial Development Plan.
