Moruleng- Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe visited the Pilanesberg Incubator on 25 July 2017 at Mphebatho Museum, Moruleng to engage with Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) enrolled into the Tourism incubator programme.
The tourism incubator programme was established by the National Department of Tourism in partnership with North West Department of Tourism, Bojanala Platinum District Municipality and Moses Kotane Local Municipality to provide development support to 50 tourism SMEs through training, mentorship, coaching and quality assurance support.
Proceedings of the visit started with game drive and a walk about to see the tourism potential places situated within the Pilanesberg.
Deputy Minister Thabethe stated that SME’s in the tourism sector situated in the Pilanesberg are set to benefit from a newly-established incubation programme that serves as a virtual vehicle used to provide support to small businesses. This has seen some enterprises who are capacitated through this programme already know how to market and expand their tourism business.
